It’s just TOAST!

This was a really good day until dinnertime. Donovan and I had a good time shopping, he was dry all day, and he and Kelsey didn’t kill each other after school. But then came dinner, when Donovan spent over an hour refusing to eat one bite of peanut butter toast.
He said it was too “fluffy”, too “wiggly”, and too “dark”. He said he was afraid of peanut butter toast. When I told him “No talking back” he said he was afraid of the word No. He yelled “This is MY country, and I don’t eat peanut butter toast here!” (…and then fought with Kelsey when she pointed out that this is everyone’s country). He screamed and cried about how unfair it was. He even begged to go straight to bed rather than just EATING THE DARN TOAST.
He can’t be three forever, right?
No, he won’t be three forever. But, he will always be a “he.” Therein lies a whole other set of problems.
That’s hysterical! Wouldn’t you like to go inside his mind and see what makes it tick.
He’s pretty smart to come up with the This is My Country statement!! And Kelsey was pretty rational to make that point. Need kids!!
